Records To CD
Most serious record enthusiasts have begun to
archive their treasured recordings to CD. Because they want the convenience
of CD audio for their home and car stereo systems, because the want to save
wear and tear on their favorite vinyl and turntables, and because it's so
darn cheap and easy to do it now are 3 of the main reasons that this has
caught on. Enhanced Audio provides the tools to record, clean, and
enhance those recordings so that your archived audio is the best that it can
be. We don't mess around with actually talking to your CD
recorder...mainly because you probably have a program that you got with your
computer that does this job just fine. If you've got Windows XP, again,
you don't need CD recording software because it's built into
Windows. But we'll provide everything you need to get a good
recording and prepare it for the CD.

 On most older records, clicks and pops are the most common type of noise that you'll face. This zoomed in view of
our software shows you a typical 78 recording in the upper window (yellow). Notice the straight
lines that run from the top of the yellow screen to the bottom? These are impulse noises or clicks and pops. The file you see below
(gray) is what the wave looks like after we've run the Impulse Noise Filter on the file. This is but one step in a 78 Record
Restoration, but you can see that our software has been very successful in removing these impulse noises.

This is a typical old recording of a 78 RPM record. We used a variety of filters to remove the clicks, pops, hiss and other disturbances. With
78 Record Restoration, the goals are similar to any other record restoration...to make your file sound authentic, yet noise free and clean.
